ABOUT MEARA LOUISE
Boats and goats and skulls and critters and donuts and whales and the ocean and art.
Meara (they//them) is a printmaker, bookmaker, general creator who likes to draw dead stuff. And also living stuff. And stuff found in the oceans and in the mountains and the desert as well as stuff that exists only in their head.
They like to explore themes of life//death, identity, gender and sexuality, as well as attempting to create an eloquent and nuanced critique of whiteness, white supremacy, patriarchy and capitalism.
When not making art you can find them exploring Baltimore, sailing on tall ships, flopping around in the ocean, wandering around the woods, hitchhiking somewhere, eating donuts or hanging out with goats.
